What we talk about when we talk about love.

This was definitely an interesting read. First off, Mel really confuses me throughout the story. He went from one extreme to the next. He seems that he is just a very extreme individual. I get the feeling he is very bitter towards his ex wife. We never find oout what happened between them, but I think there is some turmoil between them. He claims that he hates her, which is a very strong word. However, a lot of his attitude could just be froom the drinking. But he drinks himself into depression, and his wife asks him if he wants his pills, so maybe he has some sort of depressioon problem.

Mel believes that there is a right way and a wrong way to love. I think he is wroong there. You can't help the way you love someone, or how strong the love is. I believe Terri when she said that Ed loved her. I think he loved her so much, he didn't know hoe to control it, and it ended up making him go crazy. I also don't think that you can stop loving someone completely or forget about them. I believe you can pretty much block them out, but there will always be a piece of them with you. When you love someone, its not weasy to completely erase them. Seeing from my paretns divorce, my dad cheated on my mom. As much as she hates him, she still tells me she loves him for some strange reason. She wishes that she didn't, but after being with him since highschool, its hard to push them completely away.
