Joes was established before 2000, and they welcome you to feast on cocktails and enjoy their light and refreshing atmosphere found exclusively at Joes. As soon as you walk in, your heart will thump with the beat of the raging juke box as the bubbly servers prance around the resturant with orders and drinks. Come in and dine with their famous salmon salad, homemade chili, 100% angus beef burgers, or their infamous Anchor Bar wings. End it with one of their famous cheesecakes provided by the one and only Metroentertainment. If you're in the mood for a beer, you can try one of the 32 on draft or 100 in a bottle! Reflection on English 1101

I thoroughly enjoyed my English 1101 class. I had a fantastic professor who helped me enjoy my learning experience. She would have us write about what we wanted to write about. She understood that we wouldn't enjoy writing if we were given a narrow topic of discussion. My favorite characteristic of my professor was that she was never the one to scold or put down our work. I feel that I did learn more grammatical lessons in 1101. When she would return our papers, we would have to go through and correct our errors through our handbook. I believe it was almost more of a creative writing course for me. I was able to chose my topics and actually enjoy writing my feelings on the subject. She provoked us to get in touch with ourselves. To write from our heart. Thats what helped me the most. I was writing about things I cared about.

About Me

My name is Mason Maddux. I am from a small town known as Leesburg, Ga.

Never heard of it? Exactly.

No one has.

I lived in Ft. Lauderdale for about 6 years. I spent Kindergarden through half of 3rd grade there. It was probably some of the best times of my life. I had the beach less than 30mins away from me. It was pretty much bliss.

Then it happened.

My dad was transferred to Bumblefuck,Ga. I went from beaches and shopping malls, to tractors and well, more tractors. Talk about complete devastation for a little homo in training.

I guess this little one was going to learn to play dirty.

Now, I can't say that moving there was horrible, but by no means was it the best. I would end up spending 10 years of my life there, so I had to make the best of it. I made some of the best friends, and had some of the best times.

I just can't help but feel a little bitter about that place though. It would be where my parents divorce, where I would be laughed upon for being gay, before I even knew what gay was.

Growing up there wasn't easy. I had all the little country rednecks growing up with me. Instead of learning how to hunt with Dad, I was at the house spending time with my mom, doing household chores and what-not.

I knew I was always different growing up. I'd rather be chilling and talking with the girls, then out playing wrestle with the boys. It was always easier for me to befriend a girl. So I always had like 173769 girlfriends, and about 5 boy friends.

Growing up in middle and highschool was SOOOO much better. You start maturing. I started to realize that I was gay. I came out my Sophomore year in highschool, and it was probably the best thing I had ever done. Everyone was totally cool about it.
